Convocation for the awarding of Diplomas to the IDSD 5th and 6th batches, was held at BMICH Committee Hall B on the 28th of June from 2.30 P.M onward. 50 Diplomas were awarded to the students upon the successful completion of the academic requirements. The chief guest Dr. Ranga rodrigo – Senior Lecturer at Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering and the former Chairman of the Center for Open and Distance Learning, the Guest of Honor Mr. D.K.Withanage – the former Dean of the Faculty of IT of University of Moratuwa, Mr. Daya Hettiarachchi – CEO/Chairman of OpenArc Group of Companies, Mr. Vijith Singhabahu – Managing Director of OpenArc Campus and Mr. Lalith Goonethilleke – Director of OpenArc Engineering Solutions graced the occasion. Many invitees along with parents of the diploma holders also took part in the ceremony.
