OpenArc ‘SkyLease’ industry leading flagship software product that the company designed, developed and implemented in Many banks and finance companies in Sri Lanka won a Gold Award at the National Best Quality Software Awards in 2012 organized by the British Computer Society.

OpenArc Prometric Centre is the only online test center in Sri Lanka. Prometric is the trusted test development and delivery provider to more than 400 organizations worldwide. Prometric operates a network of 8,000 test centers in 160 countries, making it easier for test takers to find a site near them. Test takers may chose a date and time and come to sit for the test at the Prometric test center at OpenArc.

OpenArc started its long-term software journey way back in 1991 and committed to local software industry with pioneering efforts to design and develop total software solutions to Banking & Finance, Capital markets and ERP segments. Over the years it has achieved many milestones and laid foundation for the next break-through success with the latest introduction of SkyBank 2017 Digital Banking & Finance (DBF) product range along with SkyPay mobile payment app and a series of other mobile apps that have been launched by the company for the digitization of customer front-end.

BOC, the largest state owned bank in Sri Lanka selected OpenArc ‘SkyLease’ software solution for the computerization of leasing operation over the branch network connecting more than 500 branches. OpenArc successfully converted all the manual data records to SkyLease fully computerized environment and helped the bank to expand their leasing business by multiplying the leasing portfolio more than 10 times over a short period of time. The SkyLease product was successfully integrated with core banking system of BOC and it was one of the fastest product implementation project that was experienced by the Bank.

From year 2000 DFCC Bank was using the previous version of OpenArc Banking & Finance software (‘InBank’) and the Leasing module of it known as ‘iLease’. OpenArc successfully migrated this solution to its new ‘SkyBank’ & ‘SkyLease’ browser based leasing software solution in 2008. SkyLease product was seamlessly integrated with their core banking system and it was one of the most successful implementation of a local software solution in the Bank.

Colombo Stock Exchange selected the Business Intelligence software solution offered by OpenArc in partnership with Sriyamsoft, India after having gone through many international software solutions. This solution known as BIRD (Business Intelligence Reporting and Data Visualization) is now integrated with OpenArc ‘SkyBank’ and other solutions providing Data Analytics and Dash Board information that can be disseminated to users on Mobiles and Tabs.

University of Moratuwa recognized OpenArc School of Business & Technology as the very first partner organization to conduct the external degree of University of Moratuwa. Prof. Ananda Gunawardena attached to Carnegie Mellon University one of the world’s best universities well known for Computer Science education, is a mentor to software Engineers at OpenArc. He is having a knowledge sharing session at OpenArc on computer science related subject of ‘Machine Learning Algorithms and Data Analytics’.

OpenArc Systems Management a pioneering software solutions provider in the banking and finance industry in Sri Lanka launched its brand new product platform for implementation of Business Intelligence on the cloud for any business enterprise. The new product named as BIRD (Business Intelligence Reporting & Bigdata Analytics) was launched at a CEO Meet-up forum at OpenArc in partnership with Sriyamsoft India. Company successfully completed its very first BI project implementation at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE).

Founder Chairman/CEO Daya Hettiarachchi received the Entrepreneur of the Year (Merit) award from Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) in 2014.

Successfully delivered and presented a software for Health Informatics Society of Sri Lanka with the support of Post Graduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM) of Sri Lanka and University of Melbourne. At the Common Wealth Medical Association (CMA) annual conference held in Colombo in 2016, a mobile app developed by OpenArc for doctors’ engaged in Death Cause analysis, in CMA member countries was launched successfully.

Ministry of Education recognized the OpenArc ‘Navodaya’ scholarship programme where the company offers Job opportunities and free education up to BIT degree level after completion of its Industrial Diploma in Software Development. Company signed the official MoU with the Ministry of Education in 2007. OpenArc Engineering Solutions manufactures Automated Conveyor Belts as part of its product line. Recently, the company successfully completed an installation at Advantis, a Heyleys group company which improved the efficiency of loading and unloading at the warehouse by 100%.  This is a fully automated Conveyor Belt designed and manufactured by local engineers at OpenArc with the intention of propagating it to many others companies.

Prof. Rhys Williams from Victoria University,Australia visited OpenArc Campus for the evaluation of our facilities and the Industrial Diploma in Software Development (IDSD) Programme that we offer to talented students after A/L seeking job opportunities in the ICT sector. The Victoria University has now recognized the IDSD Diploma and given one year exemption for studies in their IT degree programme.
